The book is clean and nice and tight. The dust jacket has a small library sticker on the base of the spine, it is in a mylar jacket and is not faded, clipped, or torn. 275 pages. An effort by a social scientist professor and a couple of his friends to expose an international wheeler-dealer who operates on the shady side of international law only to face a horrendous outcome from their encounter. The bottom and the top of the spine and the corners of the boards are rubbed. Inside the book is both clean and tight. The dust jacket is in a mylar cover, it is missing a small piece on the top of the spine (the width of the spine by 1/8 inch high). The jacket is not faded, or clipped. 219 pages. This book begins when a wealthy woman dies with over three million dollars in bonds in a tin trunk underneath her bed. The search for a relative wove its way through eight thousand claims only to lose itself in Nazi Germany at the beginning of the war. Then in 1950 the Commonwealth of PA decided to attach the estate, and Messrs. Lavater, Powell & Sistrom sent George Carey to Europe to find a dead man. Price: 27.95 USD
