ex library. The flap on the bottom of the spine is curled under from having been on a shelf, the spine is a little slanted, the paper is split on the hinge on page 19. The book is clean, inside and out. The dust jacket is in a mylar cover, it is not faded, clipped, or torn. Summary: Edward Quinn, an obscure NJ highway official, had just become a Presidential candidate. Not a serious contender, but a figurehead of the National Committee when his party's original choice suddenly died. But Eddie Quinn was nobody's figurehead, and if he couldn't win, well at least he could shake things up a little. Proposing changes that would really benifit the minorities, the women, the young, and the working man, he quickly lost his party's backing and won the support of millions of voters. Just imagine it, a real American candidate. Reading copy.

The glue has dried up under the paper on the front paste down page and it has a hairline split on the hinge. The endpages are badly spit and you can see the white mesh underneath the paper (can be reglued if you have the touch). The text block is both clean and tight. The dust jacket is in a mylar cover, it is not faded, clipped, or torn. 336 pages. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall The author is the co-author of Seven Days in May. This political novel finds a young politician with an all but unmentional discovery that no one would believe, yet he the future of the nation and the planet depended on his being believed by the right men, and in time.

The dust jacket has been trimmed about 1/4 inch up the edge of the front inside flap and a 1/2 inch by 2 inch piece has been cut out of the middle of the bask inside flap. The price is not clipped but a bit of it has pealed up when some tape was removed. The jacket is in a mylar cover, it is not faded or torn. 443 pages. A political thriller set in Africa.
