Summary: Edward Quinn, an obscure NJ highway official, had just become a Presidential candidate. Not a serious contender, but a figurehead of the National Committee when his party's original choice suddenly died. But Eddie Quinn was nobody's figurehead, and if he couldn't win, well at least he could shake things up a little. Proposing changes that would really benifit the minorities, the women, the young, and the working man, he quickly lost his party's backing and won the support of millions of voters. Just imagine it, a real American candidate. Reading copy.
